Chapter Publication: Toxic Masculinity in TV's New Golden Age in Pop Culture Matters
Chapter publication alert!
Excited to share that I wrote a chapter for a book that was published this month — Pop Culture Matters: Proceedings from the 39th Conference of the Northeast Pop Culture Association (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2019).
I presented my analysis at the 2017 NEPCA conference, and I later wrote a chapter for the book, entitled “Greed & Goomahs: Toxic Masculinity in TV’s Second Golden Age.” In it, I focus on representations and critiques of toxic masculinity via the protagonists of Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, and Mad Men.
The other scholars who wrote chapters for this collection covered a striking variety of pop culture topics (including games!), so I highly recommend adding this volume to your college’s or university’s library.
